Knuckles Climbing in Sonic Dream Team: Walls Worth Scaling
Knuckles climbs walls and glides in Sonic Dream Team. Here are the walls that pay off.

How climbing works
Knuckles climbs any climbable wall in Sonic Dream Team and glides across gaps other heroes cannot cross. Climbing is slower than running, so use it where walls hide rewards, not as a way to cross open ground.
Glide after climbing to cross to far ledges: climb high, glide far, and land on platforms that look unreachable from the ground. That climb then glide rhythm is the core Knuckles skill.
Walls that pay
Walls beside the main route usually hide Dream Orbs or Dream Moons. Walls at the end of a section usually hide shortcuts. Walls in boss arenas usually hide safe spots. Climb all three kinds before assuming a level is finished.
Look for wall textures that differ from the scenery, for ledges above climbable faces, and for rings marking a climbing line. The game signs its climbing routes clearly once you know what to look for.
Knuckles in boss fights
Knuckles is a strong boss pick when the arena has walls, since height is safety and glides escape ground hazards. He is a weaker pick on flat arenas, where speed heroes reach openings faster. Related reading: Dream Moons in Sonic Dream Team: Where Collectors Should Look.
Practice gliding in safe levels before trusting it in a boss fight. A glide that falls short in a calm level is a lesson; the same glide in a boss fight is a lost attempt.
When not to climb
Do not climb on time missions unless the wall hides a shortcut. Climbing is slow, and time missions reward the ground route. Save Knuckles for exploring runs, where his slowness is irrelevant and his reach is everything. Related reading: Cream Returns in Sonic Dream Team: Why Fans Cheered.
