One game, every screen

Sonic Dream Team on Sonic Dream Team game is built for every Apple screen: phone, tablet, computer and TV, all from one subscription. Progress syncs across devices, so a run started on a phone continues on the TV without replaying anything.

The game looks best on the biggest screen you own, but it plays best on the screen you have in hand. That tradeoff is personal, so try all three before deciding your main screen.

iPad play

iPad is the sweet spot for many players: a big touch screen, a comfortable weight, and room for both thumbs without crowding the action. Pair a controller for longer sessions, or play touch only for quick missions.

On iPad, raise the graphics settings first and lower them only if a level stutters. Most recent iPads run the game smoothly at high settings, and the extra detail makes hidden paths easier to spot.

Mac and Apple TV play

On Mac, a controller is the natural choice, and the keyboard is not the intended way to play. On Apple TV, the game becomes a living room platform game, best played with a controller on the sofa, in short levels that fit between shows. TV play suits families best: one person runs, everyone else watches and calls out hidden paths. The bright worlds and simple story make it an easy spectator game, which is rare for a platform title.

Picking your main screen

Main the phone for daily missions, the tablet for exploring, and the TV for boss nights with friends or family. The sync makes that split painless, and each screen shows a different strength of the same game. Related reading: Rouge Gliding in Sonic Dream Team: Long Glides, Hidden Ledges.
